About Us

Sunshine Art Academy is an independent art foundation dedicated to encouraging and emboldening artistry for the next generation of creative leaders. Fostering a culture of excitement, experimentation and learning, we provide the best opportunity for children to develop their artistic skills through collaboration and hard-work, whilst having lots of fun in an enjoyable and supportive environment.

In Art, there is no 'right or wrong' answer, and we encourage children to seek joy through their work as opposed to perfection. Taking risks, self-expression, creation, learning, exploring and making 'mistakes' are all fundamental elements of the creative process which we extensively harness and nurture.

Children are able to build their confidence and produce art-work using a variety of materials including watercolours, acrylics, oil paint, charcoal, pastels and clay. Our lessons are underpinned by historical and contemporary academia with each session precluding in the analysis of a popular artists work or style. During this segment, we aim to develop artistic vocabulary, analytical skills and confidence in discussing new ideas.

Teacher: Nadia Khan

Our lessons are taught by Art History graduate and children's art specialist, Nadia Khan. Nadia is a committed teaching professional who is extremely passionate about the importance of the creative arts in the development of young children. Outside of the academy, Nadia has worked for Frieze, The Museum of Classical Arts in Mougins, Art Review Magazine and Art-Speak achieving exceptional results in the process.
